Our Philosophy
The St. James Swim Program utilizes a progression-based program to help develop confidence in the water as well as proper swimming technique.
The St. James Difference
The centerpiece of the Pool House is an indoor 52-meter Olympic-sized Myrtha training and competition pool. The pool is equipped with a removable headwall, 20 track start blocks including the backstroke start system, and a movable bulkhead, which divides the pool into different areas according to aquatic activity.
It has stainless steel construction and an infinity-edge overflow gutter to reduce wake. It is fitted with shallow platforms which lower the pool depth by 4 feet at one end, to improve functionality for group water exercise, swimming lessons, and creative play activities.
The swimming program at The St. James offers all ages and abilities room to learn, improve and compete in the pool. Whether you're just learning how to doggie-paddle, or ready to master the butterfly, our expert instructors are here to teach the best techniques to help athletes achieve their goals.
Beyond your usual swim lessons, The St. James Pool House is available for cross-training for other sports, healthy recreational laps, training for triathlons, endurance training for athletes and military, sports rehabilitation, and muscle recovery for injured bodies, and more.
Our EXPLORE programs focus on the most fundamental skills, with an emphasis on body movement and agility. Athletes learn the basics of the game and begin their lifelong love for the game.
