Long & Triple Jump Technical Clinics
A high-level, event-specific clinic for athletes who already compete in the long jump and/or triple jump and are seeking focused technical coaching beyond standard team practice.
Training emphasizes approach consistency, takeoff mechanics, speed, elasticity, and event-specific execution in a small-group setting.
- Event-specific technical coaching led by Coach Julian Bellamy
- Technical work on approach, penultimate step, takeoff, flight, landing, and hop-step-jump sequencing
- Speed, plyometric, and elastic development tailored for horizontal jumpers
- Individualized feedback and quality repetitions

TEAMS
Youth Running Club
The STJ Youth Running Club / Team is a structured, team-based distance running program for athletes of all ability levels. From beginners learning proper mechanics to competitive middle and high school runners, this program serves as the distance foundation of The St. James Track & Field pathway and aligns with indoor and outdoor track opportunities.
Program Focus:
- Distance-specific coaching and biomechanics
- Strength, mobility, and durability training
- Individualized programming by ability level
- Race planning, pacing, and competition prep
- Steeplechase exposure and college-pathway guidance (older athletes)

- Monday & Thursday: 6:00 PM-8:00 PM @ The St. James

Training
MVP League Track & Field Indoor Track Training
A year-round, high-performance training initiative designed for youth athletes ranging from grades 2 through 12. Led by renowned coach Maurice Hutton—the program offers elite-level coaching across all track and field disciplines, including sprints, hurdles, distance, jumps, throws, and multi-events.
The curriculum emphasizes not only athletic development, but also character building, leadership, and academic discipline—making it ideal for athletes looking to compete at higher levels or simply sharpen their overall skillset.

Local Training Program
Designed for middle and high school athletes, this program delivers high-level training to improve explosive speed, vertical and horizontal jump ability, and overall strength. Under the guidance of expert coaches, athletes will master sprint mechanics, plyometric techniques, and power-based strength training to maximize performance in competition.
Program Focus:
- Speed Training: Develop elite sprint mechanics, acceleration, and max velocity.
- Jumps Fundamentals: Specialized coaching for long jump and triple jump.
- Hurdle Training: Master the fundamentals of sprint hurdles (form, rhythm, and technique).
- Strength & Conditioning: Integrated each week—build explosive power, speed, and injury resilience with our certified strength & conditioning staff.

The St. James Performance Academy is an innovative college preparatory program designed to provide unparalleled development opportunities for dedicated middle and high school student-athletes in a tailored learning environment.
