BJJ

BJJ is the Brazilian form of Jiu-Jitsu derived from the original Japanese martial art. The BJJ system of self-defense and grappling was primarily developed by the Gracie family. After training with Mitsuyo Maeda in the early 20th century, the Gracies helped demonstrate the effectiveness of the art when Royce Gracie won the first, second and fourth UFC tournaments against a wide variety of fighting styles. The principles of BJJ focus on using frames and leverage in the application of force to address threats, improve positioning and finish fights without having to throw a punch. While BJJ provides a complete self-defense system of responses to attacks involving strikes and weapons, BJJ competition rules generally prohibit striking, and BJJ matches are scored based on takedowns, positional control and submission holds such as joint locks and chokes.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai is a sport originating in Thailand. It adopts a traditional kickboxing base, and also allows the use of knees and elbows. Muay Thai training can also be used as a great addition to high intensity interval training.

Mixed Arts Defense

Learn the best defensive techniques and strategies from a variety of disciplines. Get in shape while learning to defend yourself with a mix of Boxing, Submission grappling, and Judo/Jiujitsu techniques. These classes will help you reach your fitness goals and give you the confidence to stand up for yourself In any given situation.
