Training Opportunities


The St. James offers comprehensive high performance training programs for clients of different ages and abilities to boost their athleticism, enhance on-field performance and enhance robustness to avoid injuries. Our approach to performance enhancement uses state-of-the-art in-person training methods as well as digital tools to give each client a playbook that is tailored, data-driven and optimizes their ability to perform, recover and refuel mentally and physically to excel in sport and life. Open to Members and Non-Members.

Youth (Ages 12-14)

Learn to train through fun, educational, engaging athletic development programs that enable growing athletes to develop the knowledge, strength, and skills they need to improve and compete. Our youth program includes speed, agility, coordination, mobility and functional strength training, performance testing, nutrition guidance, and regeneration techniques to aid in development.

Training options:

  • Individual, Semi-Private (2-4), or Group Training (5+)
  • Available at Springfield, *Reston, and *Bethesda (*limit of 6 per group/hour)
  • Winter, Spring and Fall continuous offerings 2x/week (Monday/Wednesday & Tuesday/Thursday)
  • Spring Break and Summer camps

Elite (Ages 15-18)

Train to win like the pros by building on foundational athletic abilities. Our coaches help athletes address limiting factors to performance and increase strength, power, speed, agility, coordination. The Elite High Performance program includes performance testing, nutrition, and regeneration techniques.

Training options:

  • Individual, Semi-Private (2-4), or Group Training (5+)
  • Available at Springfield, *Reston, and *Bethesda (*limit of 6 per group/hour)
  • Winter, Spring and Fall continuous offerings 2x/week (Monday/Wednesday & Tuesday/Thursday)

Address weak links and reach your performance goals. Increase strength, power, speed and agility based on individual, positional and sport needs. Optimize movement mechanics (acceleration, multidirectional, max speed). This comprehensive program addresses mindset, nutrition, movement and recovery.

Training options:

  • Summer group training offerings include three 4-week segments (May/June, June/July, & July/August)

Focus on Speed, Performance, Athlete Empowerment, Athletic Skills Enhancement, and Individual Athlete's Drive to Improve. All camp activities will be designed by Mateus Manoel, Director of Performance, and taught by members of The St. James Performance team.
