Basketball Camps
Wootten Basketball Camp
Experience five high-intensity days of skills clinics and competitions, plus personal attention from Coach Wootten and other professional coaches. Campers participate in an NCAA-style tournament and leave with a personal report card analyzing their skills and an individual workout program.

STJ Basketball Summer Camp
The St. James Basketball Camp offers your child an excellent opportunity to develop their skills this summer with elite coaching in the fundamentals of shooting, passing, dribbling, and defending. Campers of all experience levels will participate in skill drills, position-specific workshops, mini games, and scrimmages to practice what they've learned.

Quinn Cook Basketball Summer Camp
Quinn Cook's Basketball Camp held at The St. James focuses on developing tomorrow's leaders on and off the basketball court. The camp week will include: Five days of guided basketball instruction and competition in Quinn Cook's custom-built curriculum, which is based on dividing youth players between the ages of 6-17 into age-appropriate training groups once evaluated by staff to assess each camper's basketball skill level and IQ.

Performance Academy Basketball Camps
Train like an STJ Academy student-athlete this summer with instruction from The St. James Performance Academy Basketball Coaches and High Performance Training Coaches. Camp includes 2 hours of sport-specific instruction and 1 hour of high-performance training.

STJ Summer Clinic Series
The St. James Summer Basketball Clinic Series offers a comprehensive program designed to elevate players' skills, confidence, and passion for the game.
- Skill-Specific Clinics: Focused sessions on dribbling, finishing, passing, and shooting to refine fundamental techniques.
- Position-Specific Training: Specialized clinics for guards and forwards to enhance positional play.
- Advanced Training: High-performance clinics aimed at preparing players for competitive play, including high school and club-level competition.

Basketball Team Tryouts
Our youth basketball teams focus on comprehensive player development under the leadership of positive and experienced coaches. Teams compete in local leagues and regional tournaments, practice together 2x per week, and work with a certified strength coach on high performance training to enable them to perform at their peak.

PV Thunder Girls Fall/Winter Team Tryouts
We are hosting tryouts for the 2025-26 Fall/Winter Travel Girls Basketball season. Teams will participate in travel basketball tournaments in the DMV and surrounding areas. Based in Springfield, VA and Bethesda, MD

Jr. NBA/WNBA Summer League
The St. James is an official Jr. NBA Basketball Program. The Jr. NBA League program is professionally curated directly from the NBA and WNBA, giving youth athletes the very best foundation to improve their game, discover the importance of sportsmanship, and participate in organized team play. There are no try-outs! Everyone participates!
PLEASE NOTE: Finalized schedules will be built 1-2 weeks prior to the start of the season.

She Got Game Classic Series
Featuring hundreds of girls’ high school basketball teams and powerhouse programs, the She Got Game Classic Series is the top national girl’s high school basketball showcase, giving student athletes competition and recruiting opportunities that develop talent, build confidence, and change lives.
Showcases feature some of the best seasonal match-ups between top teams and star players. Games attract tens of thousands of spectators in markets across the country - Atlanta, Dallas, Jersey Shore, Hawaii, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.

Private Basketball Training
Want to tighten your handling? Boost your vertical? Or just learn the basics of the game? Whatever your basketball goals, achieve them with private training at The St. James sports and wellness complex. Get one-on-one instruction from our all-star coaches who will identify a player's areas for improvement and build you a personalized development plan. Or, work together in a small training group of 2-3 players.
Pricing for private basketball training starts at $125 per hour and includes regular court work in the Court House, plus access to the Dr. Dish shooting machine. For more information about private basketball training at the St. James, contact basketball@thestjames.com.
Members Court Time
Members are welcome to drop in for a pickup game or solo practice at our climate-controlled Court House. Check availability on The St. James app or website, then play at your leisure.

Turn it up a notch when you reserve the Dr. Dish shooting machine to build custom drills and track your progress. Enjoy the latest in training technology, with this fully automatic and programmable basketball shooting machine that tracks your makes and misses, for single or small group play.
