Join The St. James for the 2nd Annual MLK Classic, a showcase of the next generation of basketball talent.

The MLK Classic is the first event of its kind in the country. It combines a showcase for elite high school boys’ basketball players with unique community engagement and educational experiences in celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout MLK weekend, rising stars from across the U.S. will come together at The St. James to participate in high-intensity exhibition match-ups, as well as visit some of D.C.’s most beloved cultural institutions and museums.

For group sales (10 or more tickets), please contact Jaclyn Benjamin.

An Unparalleled Experience

The St. James MLK Classic is more than a basketball tournament. In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we combine the lessons learned on the court with inspiration from real life community leaders.

Teams will travel to Washington D.C to the National Museum of African American History and Culture where they receive a private tour of the museum then visit the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. Back at The St. James, motivational speakers impart life lessons and leadership skills that players will not soon forget.
